Hello,I'm Gabriel John Rimando, a 39-year-old entrepreneur and proud founder of the Filipino Institute. As an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) based in Dubai for the past 15 years, I've ventured into diverse industries such as accounting, sales, management, photography, and marketing. Despite challenges, I've emerged stronger, achieving personal and professional success.In 2015, I established the Filipino Institute, offering affordable short-term courses across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Qatar, Bahrain, and the Philippines. The institute equips OFWs with essential skills for better jobs and successful careers.I'm also involved in other ventures. Bulgogi Grille Korean Bar and Restaurant, a popular establishment in Dubai, has expanded to three branches in the Philippines. Additionally, I own Kusina Natin 'To, a Filipino restaurant with locations in Satwa and Deira.Understanding the unique needs of OFWs, I've established cloud kitchens in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) and Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO). These kitchens cater to our community's demands. I also manage Saint Zita Cleaning Services and Caredant Home Health Care Center.In the Philippines, I've established the Filipino Learning Center, a nursery school located in Fairview, Quezon City. My vision for the center is to expand it into a high school and, hopefully, have a university of my own someday. By providing quality education, I aim to empower the younger generation and nurture their potential for success.In the publishing realm, I oversee The Global Filipino Magazine and Dubai Vibes Magazine, highlighting the achievements and stories of Filipinos in Dubai. I'm also involved in Kasosyo Magazine and Food Trip Magazine, celebrating Filipino culture, entrepreneurship, and gastronomy.Motivated by my experiences, I wrote a book empowering fellow OFWs with practical insights and valuable tips to navigate challenges and seize opportunities while working abroad. I aspire to help Filipinos realize their potential, achieve success, and foster community.Entrepreneurship holds the key to personal and financial freedom.
