Management of exploration team and contractors for iron ore projects. Planning and executing the geological mapping, terrestrial magnetometry, diamond drilling, core logging and sampling. Leading the team to the discovery of a new iron ore deposit during greenfield exploration.Management of a team to map and drill a World Class Costal Ilmenite/Zircon Deposit, leveraging the knowledge of the deposit all over it’s 90 km extension. Therefore, assisting with the resource estimation, the mining plan and the pre-feasibility studies. During this project we developed and certified an alternative method to Banka drilling, saving more than 60% of field campaign time after drilling more than 2.000 meters through this deposit. Thus, the management of a collection of more than 5.000 samples, QA/QC of assay results and database maintenance.Airborne and terrestrial magnetic data interpretation and target generation for iron ore and Fe-Ti-V deposits in both semi-arid and dense forest conditions, leading to several drilling targets.Management of field geochemistry assays with Brucker S1 portable XRF, QA/QC and data interpretation for an Fe-Ti-V deposit, successfully delimitating the orebody perimeters and providing important correlation with geological mapping and diamond drill core logging. Mapping, sampling and assaying of four low grade manganese deposits in volcano sedimentary sequences.Assisted with the successful development of an iron recovery route from Coper Smelting Slag throw pelletizing and direct reduction by pyrometallurgy in a partnership between Southern Copper Co. (Peru) and Laboratório NOMOS (Brazil).
