My name is Gabriel Smolinski, and I am a student at Sheridan College studying Marketing Management, as well as a part-time employee at Costco working as a customer service representative. My passion for marketing stems from my past experiences working in the digital marketing space where I founded and managed a network of social media pages which led to me pursuing an education in business management. On a professional level, I am a team player with lots of initiative, with my extensive work history in customer service positions where collaborative efforts were essential to optimizing the customers experience and keeping them retained. My academic experiences through completing an advanced diploma and now working towards my bachelors degree has provided me with a robust understanding in essential domains within the scope of business administration and marketing, with key focuses on digital marketing, market research and analysis, customer relationship management and key software suites such as Microsoft Office and Adobe. My real-world experience with managing social media accounts as well as being in customer experience oriented positions, coupled with my robust marketing knowledge gained through my academics makes me confident in my ability to tackle new opportunities. On a deeper level I am a people person, which directly translates to my ability to effectively ensure clients and customers are satisfied with their experiences, regardless of what the product or service is. I see myself in the future leveraging my unique experiences and academic knowledge towards helping businesses run their digital marketing channels effectively, while creating an all-encompassing omnichannel experience to create a customer centric environment that is not only positive but increases retention.
