With a strong academic foundation, graduating with high honors from LBCC and being on the President's Honor List at CSULB, my journey has been one of continuous growth and exploration. From the incredibly fun and immersive environments of Disney and Yosemite National Park to the rigorous and technical demands of banking as a Bank Secrecy Act Specialist, my eclectic work experience has honed my leadership, communication, and mentoring skills. However, my true passion lies in education.As a dedicated elementary school teacher, my goal is to create a culturally responsive and empathetically open classroom. I believe that building strong connections with students and their families is essential to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. In the diverse community of Long Beach, I strive to be an active, reactive, and guiding presence, contributing to the rich fabric of our community.Education, to me, is about more than just academic achievement. While mastering core subjects is important, I believe it’s equally crucial to nurture well-rounded, empathetic, understanding, and resilient individuals. In a world of rapid change, students need to learn flexibility, patience, and how to independently seek out solutions. My aim is to empower my students with these life skills, ensuring they grow into compassionate and capable individuals who positively impact the world around them.To me teaching is, at its core, a way to serve exponentially.
