While attending Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, I have been involved in a few leadership organizations and have held leadership positions that have grown me not only as an individual, but also as a professional, and have prepared me for my future career. I have held the Resident Assistant position at SIUe for two years and have gained valuable experience in my role here with the university, both in my interactions with other students as well as with my coworkers and superiors within the Housing Department. I have also been a part of an organization at SIUe called Campus Outreach for almost three years and, through this experience as a Student Leader and in my role as an RA, I have learned more about intentional relationships, interpersonal communication, and leading effectively in both a professional and more intimate setting.
