I am a passionate psychotherapist whose holistic interests coupled with evidenced based practice lead me to a deep interest in the relationship of emotions and their influence on the physical body, in particular the links of trauma to physical and mental health consequences such as addiction. I am interested in challenging roles and seek to continue to strategically drive people and programs to achieve positive outcomes and flourish.I am a Gestalt Psychotherapist (Master of Gestalt) having qualifications in Applied Social Science/counselling, Somatic and remedial bodywork, Workplace Training and Assessment, Meditation practice and Trauma Informed Yoga in therapy. Having worked diversely across the community sector in government, non-government and private practice in roles which include 1:1 client work, group work, program and course development as well as facilitating training and workshops, I describe my work is to facilitate re-connection to ourselves, our relationships and our environment’s. At the heart of my work is the belief that "our interconnectedness necessitates that for an individual to be healthy, a healthy community/environment is essential (Bar & Levine, 2012; Wheeler, 2009)", this perspective sustains my drive for collaborating, engaging, supporting, and advocacy.
