Digital Media Design is a diverse course that explores a range production media facilities. The course has exposed me to a number of new and emerging innovations in digital media technologies which has encouraged, and inspired me to develop forms of media that fall under the category of digital art. I now have the ability to design, direct and develop digital technology and media using a variety of cutting edge creative software applications. Most recently, I have produced a location-based interactive light installation for my graduate project. The piece illustrates how digital technology can be used as a mechanism to change and enhance a particular space or area. Completing in-depth research, and a number of lectures for each creative project has also provided me with a solid grounding of key principles, idea and the theory of design, technology and contexts of digital media, from websites, games, public installations, or mobile devices.
