We specialize in JavaScript. Whether that is front end, full-stack or back end engineers - we do it all within that space. If you need folks that have expertise using JS, then we are your experts in this area. We handle contract, contract to hire, and permanent placement.Our owner, Gaelen Kash, is heavily invested and involved in the Richmond Technology community. He is the founder of RVA.js Meetup group, the RVAdev Slack group for developers and he is also a founding organizer of the Richmond JavaScript Conference that started in 2017. Because we are a niche/boutique firm our focus and reach into the talent pool are much different than recruiting firms that handle all IT positions. Generalist IT recruiting firms have a focus that is a mile wide and can help with every type of IT need imaginable, but they are only able to go a few inches deep into the talent pool because they are always bouncing around with each opportunity. At Recruiting Concepts our focus is only a couple of inches wide; but that allows us to go a mile deep into the talent pool to develop relationships with people who are passively looking for the great opportunities that are out there. We also choose to work with people who are extremely passionate about their career and their work. We find it very easy to get behind folks that really care about technology and want to create great software because they truly love it.

The RVA Javascript Conference has been brought to life by a team of 3 outstanding technology community leaders who have organized this event. The organizers are Gaelen Kash, Justin Etheredge and Al Tenhundfeld. This conference will be dedicated to everything Javascript! Whether you love front-end JS frameworks and libraries or server-side / back-end JS or even anything else JavaScript-related that falls in between; we will have something for everyone involved in the JavaScript eco-system!! We will have 3 tracks of presentations and our speakers will be a combination of local, regional, and national speakers. We are excited to bring an extensive conference experience to Richmond's passionate developer community!

I am the founder and current organizer of RVA.JS. RVA.JS is Richmond's largest JavaScript community and growing. We meet every month on the first Tuesday of the month (except on or around a holiday) and we bring in some of the best and brightest speakers both nationally and regionally. We always have a social event at a local brewery in lieu of our meeting in both July and December. Our goal is to create an incredible community for our members and to always bring new and exciting information surrounding JS tools, frameworks, and libraries in a collaborative and engaging environment. Our presentations are intended for any skill or experience level and we make sure the presentations/speakers cover three things:1. All presentations must be Code focused. We are JS developers and want to know about code2. All presentations must be collaborative and interactive. This means that our members should be engaged and able to ask questions throughout the presentation. It does not need to be a hackathon3.
