Machina Pictures was a commercial production company specializing in logistically complex, bold, web-distributed content - basically we were tasked to do the impossible on tiny budgets. Success in entertainment is based on your team and luck. I was nominated for a Grammy in 2013 for work with Foster the People, did stunt-work on a motorcycle through Times Square, chased tornadoes in Oklahoma, got stranded in the Nevada desert, produced Beyonce and Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign and got to work with Maroon 5, Pharrell, Manchester Orchestra, 50 Cent and Nicole Scherzinger as well as Marriott, Levi's, Opening Ceremony, Coca Cola and Adidas. I was plenty lucky. But no matter if it was a skeleton crew or a large production of over 100 professionals, I learned that my passion was in building organizations and fostering talent. My greatest accomplishment is seeing so many people I worked with early on in their careers subsequently achieve enormous success.
