Sarah Gaffney-Lang I Pgcert is a Research Development and Innovation Senior Administrator at The University of Manchester. Colleagues describe her as "During a 2-year period I worked with Sarah on a number of projects during my time as the Manager of the Advanced Practice 'Playing for Success' Study Centre in Stockport. Whether working with children or adults, her relaxed manner quickly put participants at their ease and enabled them to learn new ICT skills in a non-intimidating way. Her knowledge of ways in which Apple technologies can be used to raise standards in numeracy and literacy is second to none. Sarah played a massive part in helping the centre become one of only a handful of centres across the country to achieve Advanced practice status.She also helped make 1,000's of children happy👍 " and "Sarah is confident, creative and highly skilled member of any team. I worked directly with Sarah when we both Mentored at Stockport County Study Centre, and from the time she started Sarah was able to turn her hand to every part of the role. Not only did she build up a great rapport with the students but she confidently presented lessons and reported to parents and teachers on each student's development. She was also able to offer training to adults and children on the latest Apple Mac software, whilst using her creativity to produce quality films and animations with the children, making sure the relevant aspects of the curriculum were covered.
