Current• Project management• Product design - consulted on early stage development of new products and heavily involved in continuous improvements on existing product lines• Internally support numerous departments - i.e., contribute to defining project scopes for Sales, prepare RFIs and RFQs for Production, establish relationships with vendors (Purchasing), and oversee assembly of machinery (Shop)• Perform electrical design work for oriented strand board (OSB) machinery, namely Stranders… Show more • Project management• Product design - consulted on early stage development of new products and heavily involved in continuous improvements on existing product lines• Internally support numerous departments - i.e., contribute to defining project scopes for Sales, prepare RFIs and RFQs for Production, establish relationships with vendors (Purchasing), and oversee assembly of machinery (Shop)• Perform electrical design work for oriented strand board (OSB) machinery, namely Stranders and Batch Feeders• Prepare designs as per customers' regional electric codes and harmonized standards, as well as adhering to customer specific standards and guidelines• Create electrical drawings using EPLAN and AutoCAD, including, but not limited to the following: - Electrical assemblies - Interconnection and block diagrams - Machine schematics/ wiring diagrams - Panel layouts - PLC hardware drawings• Prepare project documentation, such as: - Motor lists - Device & I/O lists - Cable lists• Occasionally write PLC ladder logic (typically includes modifying an existing program)• Design Human Machine Interface (HMI) graphical interfaces using FactoryTalk View Studio and Siemens WinCC • Provide support for production during the machine construction and assembly process- Travel to customer's sites to commission and troubleshoot Kadant machinery.- Assist customers via email and phone, providing support for a wide variety of electrical, PLC and hydraulics related issues.
