Project Scientist within the Assessment and Remediation (A&R) group. Conducting Phase II & III ESAs. Environmental assessments include:- Soil sampling and borehole logging - Managing drilling projects and interacting with clients - Groundwater development and sampling - Hydrogeological Investigations: infiltration and pump tests with level loggers/slug tests, GNSS survey, water balance, sampling as per Storm and Sanitary sewer by-laws- Indoor air quality and sub-slab vapour samplingGeneral tasks include:- Logging boreholes with Strater 5- Hydrogeological data interpretation with Waterloo Hydrogeological AquiferTest software - Soil characterization, hydrogeological assessments, and Phase II ESA reporting

Tutoring students ranging from grade 9-12 in general science, chemistry, biology, and physics. Tutored approximately 8 students a week and resulting in excellent progress reports from students. Providing help with homework and constructing lesson plans to enhance education and ensure students are understanding the concepts.

Collaborated with the Lunar STEM team to increase awareness in space and careers by investigating methodologies and developing initiatives for Canadian youth. Participating in the development of the virtual Junior Astronauts Camp to engage students in space STEM through exclusive activities. This included the development and testing of activities and platforms. - Aided the Canadian Space Agency’s Rover team from a geological perspective to developing a “Commanding a Rover” mission for students to engage in and simulate a Mars-based mission. Researched provincial science curriculums and STEM organizations to develop a list of contacts for future planning and initiatives with collaboration of space activities. This was completed by following Government of Canada protocols during planning, research, and development.Researched STEM initiatives from a geological perspective to integrate space sciences with geology. Provided research to develop an Indigenous perspective on space STEM to include in initiatives and the classroom across Canada.

Showcased a strong educational leadership role in directive teaching by leading groups of students in environmental education and conducting hands-on activities at Toronto Islands. Prepared educational programs for incoming students, ensuring that guidelines are followed. Organized and set-up daily programs for all Outdoor Education staff based on continuous changing schedules. Managed the community garden, compost systems, and performed Environmental Health and Safety assessments.Maintaining effective communication with students, teachers, and staff for the purpose of safety, collaboration, and planning.

Researched Earth Science topics and wrote educational articles for the annual company newsletter. Engaged in the development of lesson plans for activities and challenges with respect to the Ontario Curriculum of Earth Sciences, collecting and inputting data, managing inventory, and writing reports based on student surveys and the success of program delivery in the classroom. Worked alongside Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) as an ambassador to enrich students in core Earth Science educational programs at the PDAC convention. Planning and Coordinating trips to Indigenous Communities in Northern Ontario to conduct various Earth Science activities as part of the week-long programs initiative.

Supervised swimming activities and ride operations at the waterpark to ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures were followed. Responding immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency. This included, rescuing patrons in distress or in danger of drowning. Paying attention to detail and consistent attentiveness to the surroundings (i.e., patrons) by working in a fast-paced environment. Maintaining clean and safe zones by evaluating the conditions of the pool, waterslides, facilities, and equipment to ensure that they are usable.
