Supporting people over the age of 65 who are experiencing psychiatric symptoms such as memory decline, confusion, depression, anxiety, psychosis (e.g. hallucinations, delusions, paranoia) or other mental health symptoms that affect the person’s ability to manage their daily living activities.

Short Term Assessment and Response Team (START) provides comprehensive assessment, treatment and referral coordination for adolescents/families in acute crisis, educates and consults with hospital and community personnel, networks with community agencies, participates in research and assists in program and resource development.

Working with clients 1:1 to help to provide supervised visitation and family development services. We work continuously with MCFD to carry out service plan interventions such as life skills training, assistance in accessing other supports and improving informal support networks to reduce identified risks. We participate in integrated case management conferences and provide families with referrals to appropriate community resources where required. Most of all, we are a team of passionate, creative, empathetic and positive individuals working together to help our community.
