I’m attending the prestigious Columbia Journalism School in New York for a Master’s in Politics Concentration. An investigative reporter with the BBC News Service based in Punjab. I report on the criminal justice system, politics, corruption, public policy, rural India, legal, and socio-religious issues of the Sikh community.I had conferred with a prestigious Alfred Friendly Press Partners fellowship in investigative journalism at the Missouri School of Journalism at Columbia, USA in 2022. As an Alfred Friendly Fellow, I covered federal courts in Pittsburgh for the Post-Gazette newspaper to understand the workings of the criminal justice system.I started my career at The Hindustan Times, one of India’s largest English newspapers, where I exposed many scams involving high-profile politicians in Punjab.
