Sr. Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer
Current• Implement 3D CAD modeling, GD&T and DFMA for drafting of new & existing components/assemblies using Creo/NX.• Perform mechanical packaging and thermal analysis for various avionics systems using NX Simcenter.• Honeywell 360 Display project: Designed helmet mounted headset with a flip down visor and mounting brackets that enables operators with 360° visibility from inside heavily armored vehicles (HMMWV).• Fully integrated within Teamcenter which includes generating ECNs, detailed assembly drawings & Creo/NX datasets.• Support cockpit avionics for various military aircraft platforms (V-22, F-15, F-16, F-18, F-35, C-5, C-17, C-130).• Obsolescence driven redesign activities, production support, GD&T analysis, failure/root cause analysis, Drawing and Documentation support, rapid prototyping using 3D printing to aid in the production of avionics products.• Review design through tolerance stack up analysis to make sure parts meet design & manufacturing requirements.• Provided support for qualification of new 5X5 glass in F-18 and F/A-18 AMPD & AMPCD displays for Boeing.• Draft mechanical-related bid and proposals using Aerospace Estimation Tool (AET) in response to customers’ RFQs including F-15 ADCP II (Japan), V-22 keyboard unit redesign, C-17 MFD redesign.• Generate, support and present design reviews for new/redesigned products in SRR, PDR and CDR.• Served dual role as Product Engineer for more than a year to support multiple aerospace platforms.• Perform Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT) on multiple Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) including ADM III, NG CCD, RC 650, PIDU and DU-1310.
