Respond physically and therapeutically to individuals with challenging behaviors. Assistance positioning non-ambulatory or ambulatory individuals. Administer medications, implement instructions and act accordingly as directed. Respond to medical emergencies, including first aid and CPR. Transport and accompany individuals to medical appointments, community outings, recreational activities, and spiritual events. Assist individuals to the extent necessary to complete tasks (i.e. perform task) in the performance of work, recreation, and activities of daily living.

Residential services with supports tailored to the needs of individuals with a range of challenges including intellectual and developmental disabilities, severe and persistent mental health, children's behavioral health and individuals with medically complex challenges. Including assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal cares. Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in their community or providing transportation to work or other activities. Initiate supportive therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to encourage individuals to be as independent as possible and enhance the quality of life.

Engages and communicates with stakeholders in Congress, the media, state, local, tribal, and local governments, the private sector, and internal FEMA employees. Serves as an advisor to FEMA program and support offices on decision making, development, and maintenance of policies and programs.

Monitors patient condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise. Supports patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household requirements; preparing and serving meals and snacks; running errands.Assists patients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming. Helps patients care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene. Helps family members care for the patient by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the patient; advising on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping.Records patient information by making entries in the patient journal; notifying nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following asepses standards and procedures; maintaining security precautions; following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards.
