Technology has a profound ability to enhance our life in so many ways. On the other hand it has the ability to disconnect us and distract us from those people and things we care about most.I have spent over a decade working to help people foster a healthy relationship with technology. Seven of those years has been spent in Customer Support hearing the common pain points that users run into when using a specific app. I work to find custom tailored solutions that help users take their next steps in their journey. By Identifying problems I have been able to write articles and edit documentation to help give users the tools they need. My Design projects have helped me continue to refine my creativity by utilizing my ability to focus on the user. I can center my designs around the users needs by helping create solutions that will avoid future conflicts I have seen time and time again in other areas.In spending time helping individuals select, get trained on, and fix their apple products. I gained perspective seeing the different stages of the user’s journey with a product. That knowledge I take and apply to all my design projects. Through all of my experiences I learned to listen to users with empathy to gain an understanding of their perspective. When I combine that with my time studying Sociology and Research for my degree it gives me a unique perspective to analyze data and pull out intriguing insights. I am excited to start a new chapter in UX and UI Design. My passion is to create spaces that are crafted and created with the intended user in mind. Technology is at its best when it steps out of the way and allows the user to navigate fluidly and enhances productivity.
