I currently work as a full time Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Clinical Supervisor within an IAPT service. I provide 1:1 CBT with adult clients experiencing mild, moderate and severe depression and / or anxiety. This includes anxiety disorders: PTSD, OCD, GAD, BDD, Panic and agoraphobia, Health anxiety, Social anxiety and Specific Phobias. I also work occasionally with clients who are suffering with Pain Management and work with more complex cases including emotional distress intolerance. I supervise the PWP's, a trainee counselling psychologist, and a CBT Therapist. I have also recently completed Part 1 of EMDR Training and am looking forward to using this form of therapy with clients experiencing trauma / PTSD.

During this period I worked part time as a Primary Care Counsellor. I worked with adult clients experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression, stress, bereavement and loss, and relationship difficulties. I worked within a stepped care model offering 6 - 8 sessions of 1:1 therapy. I found this work very rewarding and was surprised to see how quickly clients could improve in such a short time frame.

During this period I worked part time as an addiction counsellor. I supported a small number of clients in an inpatient detox rehabilitation unit who were recovering from alcohol and/or drug dependancy. My work involved facilitating and co facilitating group work as part of a 12 step programme. I also provided 1:1 therapy in helping clients to overcome their addiction(s).
