The science is clear: we have a tiny window to avert the worst effects of the climate crisis.     London Sustainability Exchange is an influential charity working towards a healthier, more environmentally friendly London. As a member of the senior management team I took responsibility for new business development, HR and communications.Key achievements:• Developed and negotiated new business opportunities worth over £1.4 million enabling the organisation to achieve its business plan objectives and achieve strong financial health over the last six years. Activities include initiating innovative, stand out proposals to grant makers, tendering for commissioned opportunities from government and the private sector, and identifying opportunities proactively to ensure a healthy sales pipeline. Examples include contracts with Big Lottery Fund (£1.2m), the National Union of Students (£75k), Defra (£140k), London Local Authorities (£50k), and the Olympic Delivery Authority (£25k).• Played a crucial role in moving LSx to an independent organisation following a five year incubation period with UK sustainable development charity Forum for the Future. • Delivered projects for external partners achieving high levels of client satisfaction, enabling LSx to generate unrestricted income and develop new experience and skills.
