Community Financial Resources (CFR) is a non-profit social enterprise dedicated to empowering low-income and financially marginalized people through education and low-cost banking and payment tools.CFR's mission is to provide financial tools for economically disadvantaged families, assist financial service providers in offering consumer friendly products to low-income people and build the capacity of community organizations and social service agencies to provide money management and asset-building strategies to their constituentsCFR Goals:Set new standards for best practices in the financial service industry by designing and coordinating the delivery of inexpensive, reliable products accessible to low wage working families deprived of the financial tools for basic asset building;Improve the effectiveness of direct service providers working on poverty alleviation and financial self-sufficiency by creating more options to assist families;andAssist community development and social service organizations outreach to the communities they support by offering much needed financial products and services.I currently manage the day-to-day operations and business relationship with our community organizations all over the US in addition to managing the vendor relationship with our prepaid debit card vendor 'US Bank' that includes training, materials and on-going support. During tax season I provide support to all community sites that provide tax preparation providing them with webinar training, product materials and card support. CFR currently has over 100 sites that provide their clients with financial literacy training and our co-branded prepaid debit card issued through US Bank.
