Currently I am the State Genetic Counselor in Public Health for NC. I do direct patient care but am also responsible for genomic education of providers and enjoy giving talks to all audience types. In 2007, I received an inaugural award from ASHG titled Genetics Education and Outreach Member of the Year. In addition, I am very active in national genomic policy groups and am part of the Family Health History group that met at NIH June 2016. Currently I am looking to expand my services to include a remote genetic counseling position. However, it would be a gift to be able to reach more people by working for a company that is committed to making cutting edge genetics accessible and affordable to all.
