I was called into the nursing profession at age 11. I knew my passion was to help others achieve their highest potential in wellness. I was blessed with an amazing mother who mentored me into the nursing profession and two incredible sons, Benjamin and David. When I discovered Rehabilitation Nursing, I felt I had "come home" with all my skills of acute care, Skilled Nursing, Home Health, Critical Care, ER, Education, Infection Control and Case Management. I have served as a Board Member, Secretary/Treasurer, a member of the Nominating and Professional Development Committee, and Fellows Selection Committee for ARN and am continuing as a CARF program surveyor for Medical Rehabilitation. I also serve on a special committee for the CA Board of Registered Nurses. I have published chapters in rehabilitation textbooks and nursing journals. I have presented at ARN conferences and produced educational courses through MedBridge. I have been on mission trips to Honduras and South Africa. My objective in life has been to seize opportunities to help others and to contribute to the nursing profession. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my Doctorate in Nursing Practice in January of 2021. I recently transitioned into a new role at Kaiser Permanente as a Service Director for Napa Solano Area Continuum of Care. I am using HeartMath in my personal and professional life. I continue to seek the Lord's plan for my life and I am grateful to God for the life He has given me. I am determined to dedicate my life to God as my gift to Him. Amen.
