Practice Manager working for 15 orthopedic surgeons. This office is one of the largest orthopedic offices in the county. Approximately 200 patients are treated per day. It is a fast paced and state of the art practice. Duties include scheduling patients, pre-certifying MRI, CT, bone scans and other imaging testing on a daily basis. Hiring and training of new personnel. Compiling several weekly reports including co-pay and code related data. Secretary and surgical coordinator for one of the physicians which includes scheduling surgeries through the hospital and surgery facilities. Preparing patients for their pre-operative surgeries. Medical assisting and managing day to day office procedures and physician schedules. The Practice Manager assumes responsibility for the management of clinical operation which includes supporting perioperative activities and allocating human resources on a daily basis. Effectively interacts with patients and their families and/or significant others. Collaborates with other internal and external health team members while maintaining standards of professional healthcare. Demonstrates actions and attitude that contributes to the critical success factor of the organization (i.e., best place to work, most extraordinary experience, superior outcomes, financial success for reinvestment, valued as a growing organization vital to the community).
