Gail Weaver is a High school substitute Spanish teacher at Lower Merion School District. Colleagues describe them as "I was the school psychologist at Widener Partnership Charter School, located in Chester, PA. I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Weaver from September 2007 through October 2008 at WPCS. I often observed children while they were in Ms. Weaver’s Spanish class. Her teaching style is both engaging and entertaining. Simply put, Ms. Weaver makes learning fun. She captures students’ attention and keeps it. Without exception, Ms. Weaver’s students not only truly enjoyed her class but also learned a great deal from it. Ms. Weaver brought the Spanish culture and traditions to life for the students in a way that matched their cognitive abilities and increased their curiosity and desire to learn more. Ms. Weaver showed tremendous dedication and concern for all of the children at WPCS. As a colleague, Ms. Weaver was liked (and still is) by all very much. She added quick wit, humor and spot on insights in meetings and conversations. Ms. Weaver’s interpersonal style is one of honesty, collaboration and consideration. She is exceptionally trustworthy and forthright. She presents herself in not only a professional but also a very approachable manner, despite her level of intelligence and ivy league education.
