Hi! My name is Gail and I’m a Media Studies Major at CUNY Queens College. I have a keen interest in understanding the intersection of media, culture, and society. I am driven to explore the ever-evolving landscape of media and its impact on our world.Throughout my academic journey, I've delved into various facets of media, including media theory, production techniques, audience analysis, and media ethics. My coursework has equipped me with critical thinking skills to analyze media content, discern biases, and comprehend the socio-cultural implications of media representations. During my studies, I actively engaged in projects that allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios. Whether it was creating multimedia presentations, conducting audience research, or producing digital content, I honed my skills in communication, creativity, and collaboration.I’m also a Student Ambassador for Bottom Line.Programs such as Bottom Line give first-generation students a comfortable environment that encourages them to be their best selves. As I continue to grow and advance my skill sets, I want to be a part of a system that provides help for young people who may not have proper access to opportunities that will help them succeed in life.As I embark on the next phase of my journey, I am eager to leverage my Media Studies background to contribute meaningfully to the media industry.
