About Gail Bulfin

Oversee the Membership and Events division of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, formerly the Broward Alliance. The Alliance is Broward County's official public / private partner having served that role for over 54 years. I run the membership division (sales) which includes identifying new members and retaining current members. The member base has grown over 76% since taking over the division. My responsibilities include managing the membership database, developing the membership strategic planning, developing specific programming and messaging for new members, and most importantly, overseeing the financial accounting for membership. In addition, I run all the events for the organization including two major annual events with attendance over 700, several networking events and others as needed. I am the director for the Port Everglades Action Team, a joint venture between three key business organizations (the Alliance, Broward Workshop and the Port Everglades Association), and the County / Port. Our goal is to continue to show support for the major capital initiatives which keep Port Everglades the leading exporting container port in the state of Florida. This includes organizing trips to meet with legislators in both Washington DC and Tallahassee. In 2018, I led a group of 80 business and government leaders on a leadership trip to Nashville to learn best practices for our community. Write, edit and produce an award-winning, annual membership directory (approx 160 pages) that is distributed to members and key elected officials/decision-makers. Have grown overall membership by over 76% and have met and exceeded every revenue goal set for the division.
