Responsible for the development and implementation of the Healthy Workplace plan for this province-wide organization, serving over 1500 employees and their families. Accomplishments included the following:• Built positive, respectful and collaborative relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization, gaining an understanding of its history, Strategic Plan, and the needs of the various workgroups and unions.• Led the Healthy Workplace Advisory Committee (HWAC); collaborated with Co-chairs to develop expectations for members’ Roles & Responsibilities, increasing the effectiveness and profile of the committee within the organization; led the committee in defining Roles & Responsibilities for the Healthy Workplace Reps in all business units and 106 retail stores.• Made significant strides toward developing a comprehensive and integrated plan to advance Health & Wellness within the organization.• Assumed responsibility for and facilitated 5 regional Healthy Workplace Symposia throughout the province within the first two months in the role.• Completed research of NSLC data (ex. Benefits usage, Sick Leave statistics, previous NSLC Health & Wellness initiatives, etc.) and industry best practices and successfully led the HWAC in developing plan for Healthy Workplace monthly information and challenges for 2016.• Introduced the organization to the National Standard for Psychological Health & Safety (PH&S) in the Workplace to enhance employee Mental Health; coordinated pilot of Mental Health First Aid program for select managers and employees; completed ‘The Working Mind’ program (Employees’ and Leaders’ versions), assessing for applicability and value to the organization.
