I wrote a pilot project to develop a Student Wellbeing Zone at Warragul Regional College: a purpose designed area from which staff could offer a comprehensive, student friendly and confidential service to reinforce the school positive behaviours program. This project was supported by Professor Michael Carr-Gregg and author Andrew Fuller.

Managed all departments: staff; increased sales in the international student market; and improved student participation and student retention (improved to 85%).

- In November 2007 I started my own company in India as an education consultant with the mission of ensuring that students were properly informed and prepared to undertake a successful study experience in Australia.- I established ‘Culture Classes’ to help students understand what stages of acculturation to expect and an English language school where I taught ‘Aussie English’ and provided free lessons for children and families unable to pay elsewhere.

A six month contract with CQU in Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Mauritius where I established positive student welfare pathways for new students travelling to study in Australia to develop a sense of connectedness with Australia and the university to ensure a smooth transition from their home country to their new lives as international students.

I managed delivery of 'best practice' student welfare in the Learning Skills Unit; Student Services; and Training, Employment and Career Counseling across five campuses in three states (10,000+ international students).

As this role was new, I established the student welfare department, writing all policies and procedures; supervised a team of counsellors and case managed students that presented with the most complex issues.

- The Blackwood Centre for Adolescent Development is an award winning early intervention educational setting in Gippsland for secondary students deemed to be at risk. - I counselled and case managed individuals and families and liaised closely with external allied health providers. I liaised with schools and TAFE providers to reintegrate young people back into the education system and worked closely with businesses to assist students to find both part-time and full-time employment.
