Senior Software Engineer
Fortran Compiler: 2021-2024: Aided in the development of a Fortran compiler Front End that used the LLVM code generation support.Path Forward: 2017-2019: Aided the development a simulator to help evaluate the efficacy of a new architecture.Fast Forward: 2013-2016 - A Department of Energy Exascale project which proposes a revolutionary architecture and software platform. FFWD-2: Developed MPI-Lite, a subset of the MPI APIs implemented using the Open Community Runtime (OCR) task-based programming model. Also created a unique source-to-source translation tool using ROSE from LLNL (https://xstack.exascale-tech.com/git/public?p=apps.git;a=tree;f=hll/rose/tools/globals2db/src;h=bf805c0352b58c9c2ceb8c800667d7539ab7d1b5;hb=refs/heads/dev/master). Investigated and resolved scaling issues. FFWD-1: Supported OpenMP on a bare-metal runtime by developing a threading model. Increased scalability by minimizing the serial portion of thread creation. Used architecture specific instructions for barrier, broadcast and locking. These optimizations provided significant improvements as measured by LLNL’s CLOMP benchmark. Enabled OpenMP on the FFWD-1 bare-metal runtime by developing a threading model. Also maintained the assembler for the new ISA.Advisor: 2010-2012 - Advisor helps clients parallelize their serial application. Developed the command line support. Pin: 2006-2009 - Developed new features and support to Pin, Intel's dynamic binary instrumentation tool. Designed and implemented "Probe" mode, which was popular because it reduced the instrumentation overhead. Bistro: 2004-2005 - Developed a high-level user interface to the Bistro static instrumentation tool.
