At Art Services North I participate in the design and management of over 300 events per year including: meetings, seminars, conventions, galas, auctions, holiday parties, weddings, festivals, trade shows, grand openings, corporate incentive travel, and more. I often serve as the lead project manager for high profile clients including: Governor of Alaska (Inaugural Galas), U.S. Department of Transportation (Experience America Project), and Associated General Contractors of Alaska (Annual Conference). In my position I research and negotiated contracts in all aspects of event planning including: venues, hotels, third party contractors, entertainers, guest speakers, transportation, menu planning, guest registration, and risk management. I also plan and managed on-site logistics of events.And all of this is in addition to marketing and selling events to new and existing markets.

As Director of Convention Services I streamlined the department which included migrating the Banquet Setup Department into Convention Services. Through my efforts I improved meeting planner satisfaction scores (MPSI). In 2005 I was named Manager of the Year and awarded Northstar Top Achiever.In 2006 I was promoted to Property Revenue Manager with proven skills in: computer operating system, forecasting, and trend analysis. In this position I rebuilt the database for property management system, increased occupancy and hotel revenue, and improved inter-departmental communication to increase operational efficiency. In 2007 I was promoted to Front Office Manager where I supervised a staff of 30 and managed an inventory of 375 guest rooms. In that position I corrected and trained operating procedures in three departments, improved overall guest satisfaction scores (GSI), and maintained rigorous Starwood Brand Standards throughout the hotel.
