Provide high profile leadership, vision, guidance, and strategic direction for the programs and personnel of the Visalia Chamber of Commerce. Facilitate and lead staff and board efforts to achieve the mission and goals of the Chamber as approved by the Board of Directors. Have full P&L responsibility and acts as the primary spokesperson for the organization. Demonstrate knowledge and expertise on economic development principles, the regional economy, political environment, marketing and branding concepts, membership sales, and the opportunities and challenges to the growth and prosperity of large and small employers in the region. Highly collaborative leader with the ability to successfully manage current programs while developing new programs and strategic initiatives for the Chamber and forming mutually beneficial partnerships with other business and community organizations within the region and state.• Successfully created a new micro-brewery/micro-winery/micro-distillery district that created an influx of new business development, jobs, and opportunity while enhancing value of an underutilized commercial area• Formulated multi-local business response to targeted predatory ADA lawsuits aimed to harm businesses rather than create access for disabled patrons• Created an entrepreneurship program aimed at giving new business necessary tools to succeed• Through revenue increases, positioned staff to receive market-based compensation including raises for the first time in a decade

Internship with County Counsel

Implement all facets of Bureau’s tourism, public relations, media and group tour sales program as well as oversee all responsibilities of the Visalia office.

Provide executive leadership for developing regional office including maintain and develop relationships with regional business and nonprofit leaders, liaise with media surrounding community alerts, communicate with local board of directors and lead workshops for consumers.

Led multi-faceted, innovative office focusing on the career development needs of over 325 full-time Master of Public Policy and Doctoral students. Executive level position directly reporting to the Dean and supervising 3 full-time professional staff members. Developed resources to aid students and alumni in career development including workshops, career panels, individual career advising, and networking opportunities.

Designed and implemented programs to connect university members with Chicago community and civic organizations through volunteer placements, unpaid internships, and special events. Advised and counseled student organizations on marketing, managing funds, and working effectively with nonprofit organizations. Managed internal and external marketing for office events, programs and services.

Encouraged and maintained relations to meet the needs of both university and local organizations through specific volunteer projects and fundraising programs. Created and supported programs to enrich the lives of students beyond the classroom.
