Design and synthesis of novel chemical entities (NCE) possessing a potential crop protection value along with key intermediates and scaffolds on multigram scale for the parallel/library synthesis. • Planning and designing of cost-effective synthetic routes. • Familiar with industrial safety and environmental regulations. • General Techniques: Mastery of contemporary laboratory techniques including isolation, combiflash purification (normal and reverse phase), and gravity column chromatography; familiarity with managing organic reactions that are sensitive to air and moisture at milligrams to multigram scales. • Computer Program and Database Searching: Proficiency with NMR interpretation tools, including Chemdraw, Biovia Draw, and ACD Spectrus Processor. • Mentoring junior level chemists, database management, and research report presentations. • Citation management and literature search for chemical journals online using resources like Organic chemical Portal Reaxys, and Scifinder. • Using SOP to update the Electronic Lab Notebook every day. • Managing and conducting reactions while giving sustainability guidelines top priority.
