About Kos Galatsis

Kos Galatsis (Dr.Koz) is the CEO of Forensics Detectors, a technology company offering environmental air quality monitoring solutions. He is also CEO of Carbonics, Inc., a venture-funded startup working with the Department of Defense on cryogenic electronics for quantum computing. Dr. Koz has worked as a consulting expert witness in over 40 legal cases specializing in carbon monoxide and air quality engineering issues. As a counterbalance, Dr. Galatsis is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor at South Bay Jiu-Jitsu in Hermosa Beach, California. Early in his career, Dr. Galatsis served as an Associate Professor in Material Science Engineering at UCLA from 2004 to 2014, making significant contributions to the fields of nanomaterials, nanosensors, and nanoelectronics. He has an undergraduate (with Honors) in Computer Systems Engineering (RMIT University), a Ph.D. in Sensor Technology Engineering (RMIT University), and an MBA (LaTrobe University). In his off time, you will find Dr. Koz spending time with his wife and three children, going to the beach, surfing, and grilling burgers.
