About Gale Macgregor

Trained and briefly worked as a Welfare Officer. Worked for 3 months with grass roots organisations in South Africa through South African Solidarity Organisation in early 2000. Worked in Radiology whilst returning to study in 2004. Over 10 year experience working in Disability. Worked as a Social Worker in Palliative care and rehabilitation wards. Commenced with Disability Services Commission in 2009 as a Social Worker then as a Behaviour Support Clinician, Family Systems Therapist in Paediatrics and as a Consultant Family Systems Therapist on the Statewide Consultancy Team. An experienced supervisor. Researches', authors and facilitates workshops and training in the sector to build capacity working with disability. Workshops include; Supporting grief and loss, Understanding and working with emotional barriers to therapy support, Ways to support change, Self care in Practice, Disability Awareness, Counselling 101 for professionals working with disability. Currently working as a senior consultancy role for Statewide Consultancy Program.
