A champion for individuals with developmental disabilities. Fund-raising supports development of programs for young adults with cognitive disorders that impede finding suitable work. Experience includes: Vice President of the Downs Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan as well as the Development Director and the fund-raising Chairperson. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for Mi Work Matters and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan. Passionate about serving people with developmental disabilities and supporting their dream to find and hold positions commensurate with their abilities. Believes that one of the major issues is for individuals is finding transportation to the workplace. Jobs are often lost because the clients with differing abilities are not able to be to work on time or get there at all. Other issues include resume development and the ability to interview. Goal is to enable those with different abilities to fulfil their employment strategies.A telecommunication veteran.
