As a mechanical engineer with over two years of research and lab experience, I have a passion for applying engineering to enhance personalized medicine. I have a MS in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado Denver and was awarded "Outstanding Graduate Student" for the Mechanical Engineering Department as well as overall Engineering Department. I worked as a graduate research assistant in the Gaffney biomechanics lab, where I also performed my thesis work investigating the effects of transfemoral amputation. I contributed to several publications and presentations, including two first-author papers (1 in-press). Prior to that, I was a professional research assistant at iC42 Clinical Research and Development, where I assisted with different metabolomics studies for private companies, academic departments, and iC42's own research division. I gained valuable skills in using various softwares, performing liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, and analyzing data. I also have experience in materials engineering and genomics-based cancer testing from my previous internships at Outlast Technologies and Biodesix. I'm proficient in Spanish, and I enjoy coaching soccer in the Denver-Boulder area. I'm looking for a new role as a mechanical engineer in the field of personalized medicine, where I can leverage my skills and experience to make a positive impact on human health and well-being.
