A lifelong passion for cycling and mechanics fueled my pursuit of a career in mechanical engineering. I am passionate about product design and take great satisfaction in seeing my design work come to life on the production floor.I enjoy working in a multidisciplinary design team and also enjoy working with other functional groups such as manufacturing, sales, planning, procurement and quality towards a common goal, customer satisfaction and success of our business unit.Professional experiences range from electro-mechanical assembly design, tooling design, composite design and fabrication, to design and testing of electronic enclosures. I am a hands-on engineer and love to be involved in the prototyping and fabrication process. I seek the most elegant design, preferring simple over complex solutions. I was responsible for mechanical design efforts and maintaining a high level of coordination with Electrical Engineering, PCB Layout, Planning and Purchasing in this this high-mix product line.I championed a new design introducing a modular cooling system for the large router family featuring redundant cooling capabilities and temperature monitoring within the existing size envelope.I created my own test plans, created test equipment when necessary, performed testing and successfully drove all of my projects through fitment and thermal testing as well as UL safety and performance testing.This role required self-managed efforts for creation of assembly documentation and follow-up on assembly procedures to ensure successful on-time production and shipment.Additional responsibilities included sustaining engineering and production support.
