As an Ambassador for the ECI, my goal is to act both in Portugal and at the European level in order to promote citizens' awareness and participation.A successful initiative has to be subscribed by 1 million European citizens, but also needs to achieve the minimum threshold in at least 7 EU Member States. In Portugal, the threshold is 14805 signatures. Sadly, since 2017, only 2 initiatives were successful with Portugal doing its part. As a strong believer in active citizenship, I take to myself the mission of changing this reality, with the help of whoever feels aligned with it (hit me up!).

ShARE-UP, a branch of DWDG, is a consultancy company based on learning by doing, cooperation with start-ups and follows the motto "Do Well, Do Good".Currently a Senior member, I've worked independently on the topic of public-private partnerships in urban planning to make cities more livable and with the first Portuguese cellular agriculture company, exploring its viability and strategy in the Portuguese and European markets.I'm open to opportunities that relate to urbanism, development, sustainability and mobility in cities. I expose myself to learning and activism opportunities in this matter by networking with associations and local politicians and participating in events and suggesting informed improvement ideas on existing systems of public transporation, mobility and integration of nature in urban contexts.

I accepted the invitation from the Board to coordinate the "Provoking Thought" department because such is my main purpose when writing. I don't just like to provide raw facts or completely subjective opinions, but rather write invitations to reflections that can be empathetic, informed and constructive.I was responsible for 5 people, whose favorite topics were disabilities, criminology, gender equality, volunteering, politics and, naturally, Law. I learned a lot from them, both about leadership and team work, but also about each topic we covered during our time together.Our joint contribution for the yearly edition was remarkable and I'm incredibly proud of everyone. I left the Department in their hands to continue discovering myself, but I trusted (and was correct) that it would be well taken care of. Love to read Tribuna still!

I was selected for the "Society" department, where I helped cover the invasion of Armenia, the Portuguese National Elections of 2022, the Atlantic Summit of Youth Associations, the seagulls' plague in Porto, and wrote about the European Union's importance for the youth.I decided to also write for other Departments after meeting my quota:For "Provoke Thought", that I ended up coordinating, I wrote about the alleged inequity in grading across Law faculties in Portugal, and obstetric violence in Portugal's National Health System.For the "College World" I wrote about academic absence in FDUP and Erasmus+ projects.For the "Cultural" I wrote about Bo Burnham's "Inside" comedy show.

Some of the projects I either led or participated on:- Moderated debates for the National Association of Chemistry Students, gave formation on Public Speaking, British Parliamentary Model, etc. and adjudicated debates in SciTech'21 from the Board of European Students of Technology, University Lusíada Norte, FDUP's Student Association, and many more- Created Debatinder, a dedicated and personalized platform for competitive team settings for debate competitions- Created original contents for amateurs and pros alike to improve their preparation and debate, and translated much more from worldwide recognized speakers and debate societies- Represented the association in the Atlantic Summit for Youth Associations, in Madeira- Helped reformulating the marketing department under the motto "Debates are from people, to people and about people"- Got to the semi-finals of the Portuguese National Tournament, a Open Tournament in Lisbon and another in São Paulo, Brazil

Of the main projects I helped with:- I interviewed Carlos Daniel and Pedro Marques Lopes, remarkable Portuguese television personalities, on the topic of Youth Participation in politics, extremism and social media;- Moderated a debate about the inclusion of "Citizenship Education" on the national education mandatory curriculum, with the Supreme Justice Judge Maria Clara Sottomayor and the President of ANDAEP, Filinto Lima- Gave trainings on competitive debating to University of Algarve and Portucalense University

Because of my Youtube channel (see "Volunteering"), I was contacted by many students interested in private sessions on Portuguese, Philosophy and European Union Law.I also gave sessions in schools and prisons' educative programs about European Law and Constitutional Law, in partnership with FDUP's Students' Association.

Author of "Os meus pais acham que a escola é uma brincadeira" (My parents think school is just fun"(a poem), "Os Custos da Educação Grátis" (The costs of free education) e "Debate Competitivo Universitário: Open do Porto 2022" (Porto's Open of College Competitive Debating - 2022).

I was a Scout from 2017 to 2021, performing volunteering activities and living amazing social and cultural experiences in nature in Portugal and abroad. My team role was mostly of Animator (responsible for games, music and vibes) but I was also a sub-Leader for a year and was part of the organizing team of the regional Cenacle.
