An entrepreneur by temper, a mentor at heart. After two successful exits and one failed startup, I can attest that what is most important is surrounding yourself with the right people: mentors, colleagues, employees, and suppliers. They make the journey not only more enjoyable but also more relevant and impactful. As CEO of Wikol Travel, I increased our client base to become one of the most recognized boutique travel agencies in Costa Rica. As CEO at Local Keeps, I built and directed an export marketplace where sustainably made specialty products were showcased for the first time to the world; thereby enabling over 140 small businesses to grow.As a mentor, I´ve been able to not only learn about new and exciting ideas created by #latamentrepreneurs but also share my experiences: both good and bad. To see these founders pivot, grow, or simply decide to start something new with a more accurate plan, is what gets my adrenaline pumping every single week. My hope is that Costa Rica´s entrepreneurial ecosystem triples in the next five years, which will only be possible if we collaborate with other startups, entrepreneurial programs, and funds in our region and learn from more mature ecosystems. I aspire to somehow aid in connecting it all.
