Responsible for PMC oversight of the design and procurement of major equipment for the mono-ethylene glycol (MEG) Regeneration System at the Onshore Terminal (OT) located near Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, India. The offshore gas production is dependent on subsea MEG injection at the wellhead. Large quantities of MEG are used to prevent hydrate formation in the gas pipelines during transport of gas from the offshore wellheads to the OT. In this process, the MEG is polluted with water and salts from the gas reservoir, production chemicals and various particles. The MEG Regeneration System conditions the MEG by removing water, salts and other undesirable constituents, enabling continuous re-use of the MEG in a closed loop.
