First and foremost, I have a passion for working in collaborative environments. I quickly realized this after having originally set out on a career path headed towards film and media production. Regardless of if it's storyboarding a scene for our film, or white-boarding new functionality for our application, I love being on a team and working towards building things that we are proud of.In March of 2020, I started my journey through Turing School of Software and Design in Denver, CO. I studied backend engineering and worked remotely with both frontend and backend teams to deliver quality projects under strict deadlines. Beyond just code, I worked on cultivating a mindset that is rooted in growth. Ultimately, I graduated with the confidence that I’ll bring value to any team that I am lucky enough to be a part of. Outside of programming, I love exploring any local art scene. I love street art, local music venues, and finding great local food! Since graduation, I have been working on revamping a project that is called 'Local Spotlight'. It is a user-driven database of Spotify artists and the city/state that they are associated with.
