As a National Program Associate on Adolescence and Youth at UNFPA in Mexico, I contribute to the design, planning, and implementation of the country program, with a strong focus on youth and innovation. My work involves strengthening partnerships, mobilizing resources, and increasing the visibility of UNFPA’s mandate to support the comprehensive development of youth and underrepresented populations. I provide technical and programmatic support, ensuring the successful implementation of projects aligned with the needs of adolescents and youth.In addition, I co-lead the Interagency Youth Group within the United Nations System in Mexico alongside UNESCO, facilitating collaborative initiatives across sectors. I also lead the coordination of the Youth Advisory Panel (YAP), supporting the members' personal development and integrating their recommendations into programmatic strategies. In general, through ongoing policy dialogue with governmental and non-governmental actors, I ensure that our initiatives are aligned with relevant social, political, and economic trends, contributing to project formulation, implementation, and evaluation

As an Independent Advisor for the Youth Advisory Panel (YAP), I played a key role in supporting UNFPA Mexico by contributing to multiple youth-focused projects that aimed to strengthen the organization's programmatic effectiveness and advocacy efforts. My involvement spanned from evaluating key initiatives to designing strategic frameworks for impactful youth engagement.• 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: I participated in the baseline evaluation of UNFPA's national country program 2020 - 2025, assessing their effectiveness and recommending improvements to enhance their impact. • 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Additionally, I conducted a methodological evaluation of the 'Generation 2030' program to assess youth perspective inclusion and providing critical insights for program refinement. In the 'Spotlight Initiative' I performed an in-depth review of project documents to ensure alignment with UNFPA’s goals on gender-based violence prevention. • 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: I also co-facilitated the development of an inter-agency mechanism in the United Nations System in Mexico, aimed at uniting 17 UN Agencies to advance youth programs. Further contributions included examining legal frameworks related to forensic investigations as part of a context evaluation for the Extraordinary Forensic Mechanism (MEIF), and facilitating an intergenerational dialogue at the 2nd UNESCO Global Forum Against Racism. Throughout my work, I maintained a focus on aligning program strategies with youth empowerment and innovation while fostering collaboration with key stakeholders.

As a consultant with DocsMX, the International Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City, I have been actively involved in multiple roles aimed at enhancing the impact and development of non-fiction filmmaking. My work includes designing evaluation tools for measuring the social and cultural impact of documentary films. In 2022, I collaborated with the Odoo team during the expansion of their Functional Support team, providing both functional and technical consulting to a global client base. My responsibilities included evaluating operational and financial management processes for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring efficient workflows and strategic alignment. I delivered functional consulting on a range of web applications, including billing, SCRUM management, accounting, CRM, and strategic management tools for clients across the European Union, Mexico, India, Egypt, UAE, Argentina, and Chile.Additionally, I provided technical consulting to resolve software bugs, using SQL and Python to troubleshoot issues for clients in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. My role focused on providing methodological guidance for research, data collection, and program implementation to ensure that the project’s objectives aligned with USAID's Program ConJusticia mission of improving criminal justice systems.I collaborated closely with stakeholders across the legal and governmental sectors, helping to design and evaluate innovative solutions that addressed systemic issues within Mexico's criminal justice framework. This included developing evidence-based strategies that integrated data-driven approaches and technology to enhance the transparency, efficiency, and fairness of the legal system.Through my contributions, I helped shape the project’s strategic goals, focusing on strengthening the capacity of the justice system to deliver effective, timely, and transparent legal services. This effort was pivotal in promoting reforms aimed at reducing impunity, ensuring accountability, and building trust between citizens and the criminal justice institutions.

As part of the USAID project 'Justice for the Disappeared in Nuevo León', I worked to promote an effective state response to the disappearance of persons in Nuevo León region. My role focused on guiding the development of institutional processes aimed at improving governmental accountability and transparency in cases of enforced disappearances. I contributed to the design of strategies that integrated data-driven solutions and technological innovation to strengthen the capacity of public institutions responsible for search and investigation efforts.I collaborated with state and local authorities, civil society organizations, and families of the disappeared to ensure that the solutions were not only evidence-based but also aligned with the needs of the affected communities. Through advocacy and technical support, I facilitated the development of legal frameworks and operational protocols to enhance the effectiveness of state responses, focusing on victim-centered approaches and human rights compliance. My work contributed to creating a more transparent, responsive, and accountable system for addressing enforced disappearances in Nuevo León

As part of the CADHAC's project on 'Comprehensive Care for Victims of Serious Human Rights Violations', I played a critical role in developing strategies that ensured effective support for victims while promoting the laws on care for victims and the prevention of torture. My work focused on strengthening institutional processes for victim assistance, ensuring that they were aligned with both national and international human rights standards, in addition to USAID's Program 'Civil Society Activity' with the aim of strengthening Human Rights NGO's in Mexico. I collaborated with key stakeholders, including governmental bodies, civil society organizations, and legal experts, to advocate for the effective implementation of laws protecting victims of human rights violations. Additionally, I provided technical guidance on the development of protocols and care systems that were sensitive to the specific needs of victims of torture and serious violations, focusing on ensuring access to comprehensive psychosocial, legal, and medical services.Through data-driven approaches and close coordination with advocacy groups, I contributed to enhancing the state’s capacity to address human rights violations and promote accountability. My efforts also included supporting legal reforms aimed at strengthening the rights of victims, ensuring they received the necessary care and reparation.

Between 2019 and 2021, I collaborated with El Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF) as part of the Department of Cultural Studies, contributing to the research project 'Ciudades Santuario, Fronteras Emergentes,' funded by CONACyT. My primary responsibilities included reviewing relevant bibliography and supporting the conceptualization of the theoretical framework for the project, ensuring that it aligned with the evolving dynamics of migration and sanctuary cities.I played a key role in designing mixed-method research tools for field research in the United States, integrating both qualitative and quantitative approaches to gather comprehensive insights. Additionally, I conducted sociopolitical context analysis to guide the planning and execution of field research activities.My work also involved processing qualitative data from research tools and interviews, transforming this information into valuable findings. I contributed to the design of multimedia reporting products, including videos, web pages, and presentations, to ensure that research outputs were accessible and engaging for a wider audience.Finally, I served as rapporteur for the Permanent Interinstitutional Seminar on Diaspora Studies, a collaboration with Universidad Iberoamericana and CIESAS, documenting discussions and helping synthesize key takeaways.

As of March 2020, I assumed the position of Institutional Development Director at CADHAC, a historic transition for the organization after Sister Consuelo Morales' departure from the General Direction. My primary responsibilities included coordinating the planning of social advocacy initiatives, ensuring that CADHAC's programs were aligned with its mission of promoting human rights, justice, and the support of victims of serious violations.A key aspect of my role was leading processes of institutional systematization and memory preservation, documenting CADHAC’s critical contributions to human rights advocacy. I was also in charge of impact evaluation, analyzing the effectiveness of advocacy efforts and institutional programs, such as the psychological clinic and strategic litigation services for victims and their families.I managed the monitoring and evaluation of institutional programs, ensuring that their performance was measurable and aligned with CADHAC’s goals. Additionally, I worked on evaluating and refining storytelling and impact campaigns to enhance the organization’s public advocacy initiatives.A major part of my work involved coordinating the sustainability program for the comprehensive accompaniment of torture survivors in Mexico, which provided tailored legal, psychological, and social services to victims, focusing on long-term recovery and justice.

Between 2018 and 2020, I served as Program Coordinator at CADHAC, leading efforts to design and implement strategic project proposals aimed at advancing the organization's mission. My role included liaising with international organizations and multinational donors to secure financial and technical support for CADHAC’s initiatives, particularly those focusing on human rights advocacy and victim accompaniment.I played a critical role in risk analysis for institutional financial management, ensuring that CADHAC’s resources were strategically allocated for maximum impact. I coordinated the implementation of a comprehensive accompaniment model for survivors of torture, digital violence, sexual violence, and other grave human rights violations, providing essential support services that included legal assistance, psychosocial support, and advocacy.In addition, I evaluated and refined storytelling strategies and communication campaigns, ensuring that CADHAC’s public advocacy efforts and historical memory projects were impactful and aligned with the organization’s long-term goals. I also led the monitoring and evaluation process for the collaboration with the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), focusing on forensic identification and providing crucial support for families of missing persons.

As the Impact Producer for the documentary 'Hasta los Dientes', from 2018 to 2020, I co-led the production of impact strategies designed to raise awareness and drive advocacy around the film’s central issue: the defense of the victims’ case. My role involved coordinating strategic events and public-facing initiatives to engage key stakeholders, including civil society, legal experts, and the media, ensuring that the documentary served as a powerful tool for social justice and public advocacy.I worked on developing impact campaigns that emphasized storytelling for change, utilizing the documentary as a platform to mobilize public support, advocate for legal reforms, and generate visibility for the human rights issues highlighted in the film. The coordination of screenings, advocacy events, and campaigns helped position 'Hasta los Dientes' as a catalyst for change in the public discourse on military abuses and justice for victims

During my time as Head of Investigative Journalism at Revista Nueva Prensa, I played a key role in overseeing and shaping the magazine’s editorial direction. I collaborated with the editorial team to define media coverage strategies that aligned with the magazine’s mission to produce impactful journalism. My responsibilities included assigning investigative stories to team members, supervising their work, and ensuring that all content was thoroughly edited and reviewed before publication.In this role, I conducted in-depth interviews with key sources, experts, witnesses, and survivors, and managed research projects that were presented through various formats such as documentaries, written reports, chronicles, and visual mappings. My focus was on selecting and producing stories of public interest, often with a human rights advocacy angle.𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:•𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗜𝗮 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁(2017) – I organized a concert in collaboration with OCESA Seitrack and Blaring, aimed at highlighting the impact of gender roles in the Mexican creative and artistic industries. The concert featured Tessa Ia as the spokesperson and brought attention to the systemic challenges women face in these sectors.• 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗮 (2015) – A documentary that became a critical piece in the strategic positioning of the Jorge Mercado and Javier Arredondo Verdugo case in Monterrey. This project supported efforts in strategic litigation and played a pivotal role in raising awareness about the case.

In 2017, I collaborated with Tecnológico de Monterrey as a Global Supply Chain Analyst, where I was responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data related to the supply chain of the university's global network, including its universities, hospitals, museums, and affiliated companies across Europe, Asia, and LATAM. My role involved evaluating procurement, internal audit, and service contracting processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improving efficiency.I worked closely with multiple departments to assess current processes and provide actionable insights that supported the institution's goals for operational efficiency and resource optimization.

Between 2015 and 2016, I collaborated with New Credit America, a U.S.-based company with a financial verifications team located in Mexico. My responsibilities involved ensuring the accurate implementation of application and contractual processes for financial products, both for individuals and businesses in the northern United States.I verified the enrollment and contractual closing processes, identifying areas for improvement in these workflows. Additionally, I played a key role in harmonizing financial management processes, supporting contracting, auditing, and payment services. My tasks also included providing negotiation support for verification and purchasing management, contributing to the enhancement of client relationships through bilingual customer service.Lastly, I was responsible for systematizing, collecting, analyzing, and presenting data related to the financial product sales process chain, ensuring that data-driven insights informed process improvements

In 2014 I founded Ibídem A.C. an initiative that aimed to strengthen the technical capacities of youth in contexts of community violence and economic vulnerability to boost their professional careers and local social entrepreneurship in Nuevo Laredo. My role within the organization was soon built around the generation of alliances and my main activities were the following: • Designing project proposals that contributed to programmatic progress.• Co-design a social advocacy model based on education for youth in areas vulnerable to violence and armed conflict in the northern border of Tamaulipas.• Coordinate the process of institutionalization, notarial registration and organizational design.• Build business, educational and philanthropic alliances for the fulfillment of the institutional mission.This project gave me the opportunity to study with a full scholarship at Tecnológico de Monterrey, in a financing scheme for social entrepreneurs who had high impact projects in their communities. The project continued beyond me and the founding team, officially closing its operations in 2018.
