The main component is a J2EE application containing 3 front end web UI applications; one Swing front end application and a suite of back end EJB based services. The system utilizes XML and JMS (via Message Driven Beans) for inter-service communication. User presentation is done using the Struts web framework and XSL transformations. The system also heavily interacts with the AquaLogic Service Bus which provides a platform for deploying enterprise wide services for facilitating interaction with other systems.During this time period, I was the senior technical lead for the background screening groups Java team. This was a distributed team of leads and developers located in Florida, California and India. Approximately half of our 15-20 person team was located offshore in our Bangalore, India office.I was responsible for any aspect of system programming, application design, interaction with customers to determine business needs, mentoring developers and other leads and assisting with project management.

I was a part of a small team of developers responsible for designing and implementing the system.In February of 2001 I was promoted to Director of Engineering. In addition to my development responsibilities, I was responsible for managing the team’s development cycle. This included overseeing the architectural design of the system, scheduling and delegating tasks to the team members, and assisting the Chief Technical Officer in any specific customer needs.
