About Gamal Alim

Most of the people agreed that Agriculture it is classified as one of the hardest profession whenever in the field or decision making, and it need a special kind of personality with multi dimension thinking and decision making, I do believe agriculture granted that for its employees, and indeed in between continuation of difficulties and challenges, the strong career building can come out.Based on that philosophy my career was building and still continue to grow up, I entered the work life and knew the value of work earlier at intermediate stage, I moved between public and private sector, later I completed my Bachelor degree and joined the Ministry of Agriculture 2004, from that time I decided that there is nothing more interesting than agriculture. Challenges of food security, poverty reduction, rural development, natural resource management enlightened my mind when I was junior staff, with advices of bosses and senior staff I was taught the global challenges and how countries can come together to solve problems through bilateral and multilateral relations, I was very lucky at that time to be in a position that enabled me to know more about the development issues in one line and in other line about the investment throughout my participation in numbers of missions and long term assignments with national and international expats on investment and private sector development, designing the business plans, the economic and feasibility studies for agricultural programme and project At that time, I had bit confusion about which appropriate approaches for developing countries, is it long term development interventions with wide and equal coverage or investment injections to reinvent the well and create more jobs. To come out of this dilemma I decided to have a master degree and I did my MBA, where new concepts about marketing research, risk and financial management, human resources, etc. were learnt.A various training courses internally and abroad helped me well to ease my duties and responsibilities especially when I was being motivated to be in up level positions.
