BAU and project work has included:• Managing, supporting and maintaining a virtual environment with 100 + Windows Servers and 15 + Linux Servers.• Management of 150 + network switching in Aruba Central environment and managing of 1000 + WIFI Access Points in Aruba Central environment. • Responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization. • Plans ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth · Management of telephony systems.• Management of active directory, M365 environment, Share Point, Exchange Servers and SQL Servers. • Management of backup processes and server hardware.• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure.• Contributing to technical documentation and user training as required. • Assist and resolve IT Service Desk requests at all levels• Planning and implementation of hardware and software upgrades at villages across NSW as required.

St John Ambulance Australia is a large charitable organisation and leading provider of first-aid and health services at community and public events, and provides a range of training courses to individuals and businesses.I am the lead technician responsible for supporting daily operations for the on-site user base of 150 and large external user community. BAU and project work has included:• Manage 20+ Windows servers (Windows 2008/2012) and associated MS Exchange and SQL servers, ensuring they are monitored for optimal performance and availability.• Support the infrastructure for the “Exact” CRM and training system which provides access to key business functions.• Manage Active Directory, maintaining appropriate groups and policies. • Provide overflow level 1/2 telephone and face-to-face user support to resolve technical problems. • Provide on-call out-of-hours support.• Liaise with external suppliers in order to implement hardware/software fixes.• Provide training sessions on new systems and applications.• Maintain and administer the company website.Achievements:• Carried out several large-scale upgrades (using WSUS) including Windows domain controllers (2008 to 2012) and MS Exchange (2010 to 2013).• Implemented several upgrades to enhance BCP including the migration to a cloud-based solution for Mitel telephony and the implementation of Symantec (Cloud).• Upgraded the printer estate to work reliably in the new Citrix environment.• Managed the technical aspects of a large office move, which included the migration to Citrix, telephony upgrade and extensive cabling work.• Selected and implemented Desktop Central, to enable asset management, remote management of servers and desktops, as well as deployment of patches and software updates.• Identified deficiencies in the backup schedule and implemented improved processes, using Backup Exec as well as DR using Shadowcopy.• Configure and maintain the firewall (NetScreen), network routers and switches.
