Dr Gamith Adasuriya, MRCP, MBBS, BSc (Hons) is a NHS England (NHSE) appointed registrar with a national training number in Cardiology and is dual accrediting in General Internal Medicine. He completed his foundation training at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and his general internal medical training at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Gamith has completed the executive programme in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has completed his Royal College of Physicians (UK) educator accreditation and the Edward Jenner leadership programme with the NHS Leadership Academy.Gamith was the principal investigator for a dual centre clinical trial, REMOTE-AF (https://classic.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT05037136), investigating the use of wearable devices in detecting recurrence of cardiac arrhythmias following an ablative procedure. He has published a number of papers, to include original research articles, reviews and abstracts in international peer reviewed journals as both a primary author and co-author. Gamith has also presented clinical research at both national and international conferences and has peer-reviewed papers with a focus on digital health and artificial intelligence for publication in international cardiology journals.
