As part of Main Roads WA's Graduate Program, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of teams within the business for six-month rotations. Electrical Standards• Producing guideline, specification documents and drawings to be published for use by external contractors.• Preparing hand-drawn schematics for electrical draftsperson to produce new standard drawings.• Respond to technical queries from stakeholders regarding non-compliance of existing asset configurations with Australian Standards.Electrical Project Delivery• Managing multiple projects concurrently with values ranging from $5,000 to $250,000.• Ensuring projects were delivered within agreed upon budget and schedule.• Liaising with multiple project stakeholders to ensure all requirements were met.• Applying organisational requirements as well as relevant Australian Standards to ensure compliance in both design and construction phases.• Engaging with clients through consistent communication to ensure clients are kept up to date.• Conducting thorough quality assurance checks prior to Asset Management handover.Electrical Maintenance• Secondment to Electrical Maintenance contractor for three weeks.• Gained a deeper understanding of maintenance and construction requirements for roadside assets.• Methodical approach during fault-finding of various electrical equipment failure.• Aiding maintenance supervisor in planning maintenance schedule and resource allocation.Project Development - Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)• Preparing work packages to be submitted to contractors for the delivery of ITS equipment.• Conducting desktop and site investigations to identify constraints that would affect project outcomes.• Continuous communication with project owners.• Liaised with project stakeholders to ensure all stakeholder requirements were captured.

• Process orders for glasses and contact lenses through evaluation of prescriptions.• Recommend specific lens designs, filters, tints, coatings and frames based on customer requirement and needs.• Take pupillary distance, optical centres and vertex distance measurements accurately to ensure optimum vision for client.• Repair and assemble frames and lenses carefully and efficiently.• Troubleshoot technical vision issues for clients and manage customer expectations by providing outstanding service quality.• Manage store cleanliness throughout the day to enhance customer experience.

Central Java Province, Indonesia

• Intern under the supervision of electrical team in the expansion of Tanjung Jati B, 2x1000MW coal fired power plants in Central Java, Indonesia.• Familiarisation of distribution system within the plant.• Inspections and walkdowns with Owner Engineers for various electrical equipment installations within the power plant including control panels, switchgears, wire terminations and earthing to ensure safe operation before commissioning stage.• Analysis of single-line diagrams, electrical schematics and P&ID drawings.• Perform welding inspections in preparation for flake glass lining in absorbers and inlet ducts in FGD system as efficiently and accurately as possible.
