I am an economist.I research - My research specialization is in computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling with a focus on issues in agriculture and economic development. I have published several books, monographs, journal articles, book chapters, and project reports, many of which have been presented at national / international conferences and workshops.I teach a specialized course on computable general equilibrium models, and also econometrics.You can find the details in my personal website (link provided below).

Worked as part of IFPRI's team in the project "Cereals Systems Initiative for South Asia (CSISA)". Under this project I wrote several research papers on (a) policies for cereals production, and (b) supply-demand outlook for cereals up to 2030, separately for Bangladesh, India and Nepal and a synthesis report for South Asia as a whole.Besides I was also involved in the preparation of a report on the food and nutrition security situation in Nepal titled "Ensuring Food and Nutritional Security in Nepal: A Stocktaking Exercise".I also prepared a report on food security in India titled "Role of Policies and Institutions in Delivering Food Security in India".

I, along with a team, was involved in preparing the following two reports for the UN-ESCAP (i) Achieving the Millennium Development Goals in an Era of Global Uncertainty: Asia-Pacific Regional Report, 2009/10.(ii) Financing an Inclusive and Green future: A Supportive Financial System and Green Growth for Achieving the Millennium Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific

I worked primarily on a book on International Trade Competitiveness, Investment and Finance, which was eventually published by Routledge, London.Besides this, I also published a few other papers and book chapters during this period.
