Ganesh Gurpur, with his two bachelor's degrees in physics and electronics engineering, started his career as a trainee engineer in 1992 with BPL Group, India, in R&D-Audio. Over the course of a decade, he designed and developed CD players, digital audio amplifiers, transducers, hi-fi speakers, commercial audio speakers, and other products over a decade.The highlight of his product design was the satellite-subwoofer design, which helped his company win a national award for the best R&D project. He was a skilled listener and was tasked with auditing and even changing the design of BPL's entire line of audio and TV products to improve audio quality. The hi-fi speakers developed attracted the attention of the management, which started a new brand, PROFX. Under PRO-FX, he executed a few AV projects with his team, apart from the launch of a few Hi-Fi and Pro-Audio speakers.To explore new avenues, in 2002, he left India for Dubai, UAE, to join Oasis Enterprises' Professional Projects Division as a project engineer. He mastered broadcast system design here and helped the company with the design and implementation of different-sized projects in AV and broadcast. For one of his projects implemented successfully for Nad Al Sheeba, he was interviewed, and an article appeared in Digital Studio Magazine.In order to broaden his horizons, he relocated to Singapore in 2004 to work for Kontakt International Pte Ltd., a broadcast system integration firm with offices in Singapore and Nigeria. For the first few years, he helped set up the company in Nigeria with its broadcast service center and formed a system integration team. He brought in 40+ AV and broadcast brands into the Technology Partner’s boutique to offer complete end-to-end broadcast solutions. During his decade-long tenure, he designed and executed 25+ major projects with a mix of acoustics, AV, and broadcast projects. With his strong knowledge of audio and acoustics, he incorporated acoustic solutions into almost all the broadcast installations.To explore more opportunities in Southeast Asia, he joined Gencom Technology in Singapore as Project Director in 2013. Gencom is a system integration company with branches in New Zealand, Singapore, and South Africa. He had successfully implemented a few broadcast projects in the region. He founded his company, G-Acoustics, to offer a wide range of acoustic solutions to different industries. He had designed and executed difficult acoustics projects in Singapore, Vietnam, India, Nigeria, and other places.
