Corporate Research and Technologies is a research and consultancy division of Siemens. I worked in the Software Architecture and Development (SAD) team for 6 years. The team is involved in research activities related to systematic approach to code and design quality, architectural assessments, and in improving static analysis. The team also provides consultancy to software development teams to assess, monitor, and improve code and design quality. My role in the team was to participate in research activities, lead consultancy activities, and mentor junior team members. During my tenure in Siemens, I co-authored few peer-reviewed papers and investigation disclosures. Further, I made significant contributions in creating and conducting trainings in the areas of programming best practices and software engineering. Key contribution to the team includes: a) key role in designing and delivering Quality Aware Development (QuAD) training b) developing MIDAS design assessment method.

aCC (short for ANSI C++) is the native C++ compiler for Hewlett-Packard’s HP-UX server platform (PA-RISC and Itanium). aCC/HP-UX has a large enterprise customer base around the world. As part of the team, my role was to maintain (fixing defects and enhancing) the compiler front-end. Also contributed to cadvice static analyzer tool that was derived from the existing compiler. I was also a member of the C++ standard committee (JTC1/SC22/WG21) representing Hewlett-Packard.
